My Cakebread Wine Reviews

This winery is most recognized for its Cabernet Sauvignon, which I believe are among the finest Cabs in Napa. Their Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown in some of the finest Napa regions, such as Rutherford and Oakville, which I believe are among the world’s greatest Cabernet-growing locations.

And Cakebread is flourishing, they have been purchasing more acres to produce some fantastic wines, that include a cooler Carneros sub-AVA Chardonnay.

Cakebread Cellars produces red, white, and rosé wines. All of them are truly outstanding wines. I could recommend most if not all of them. Their Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, and even Pinot Noir are all wonderful wines. It’s a clear indication of an excellent winery.

But here are some of our favorites:

  • Visitor center that has been recently rebuilt into a modernized style barn.
  • Provide amazing and informative wine tours of their sustainable winery.

Cakebread History

Cakebread Cellars was founded in 1972 by Jack and Dolores Cakebread. They started off with just a few acres of land and a small winery. Today, they have grown to over 900 acres of prime vineyards in Rutherford, Oakville, Carneros, and Anderson Valley, to name a few. The Cakebread family continues to be very involved in all aspects of the business.

Summary

Cakebread Cellars Winery is a fantastic place to visit if you’re interested in trying some high-quality wines from Napa Valley.

They offer many different types of tastings and tours, so there’s something for everyone.

Their Cabs are some of the best in the world, and their other reds, whites, and rosés are also outstanding.
