WineO Mark Review

Muga Reserva 2018 is a red wine produced by the Bodegas Muga winery in the Rioja region of Spain. The wine is made using a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, and small amounts of Mazuelo and Graciano grapes.

Upon opening, Muga Reserva 2018 presents a deep ruby color, with aromas of red and dark fruits such as black cherry, blackcurrant, and plum. There are also notes of vanilla, oak, and a hint of leather on the nose.

And on the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and well-balanced, with flavors of ripe red and dark fruit, along with hints of chocolate, spice and a subtle earthiness. The tannins are firm but not overpowering, and the wine finishes with a long, smooth finish.
