The Palm Whispering Angel Rosé has first launched three years ago and is currently the (3rd) third best-selling Provence rosé in the US. However, is now re-introducing this wine and naming it The Beach by Whispering Angel.
Château d’Esclans hopes to continue to update this as the winery’s entry-level rosé that has been at the forefront to the “Rosé Renaissance” that Sacha Lichine, its founder, started. The blend is made of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault making it very dry and crisp.
The Palm Whispering Angel Rosé, now known as The Beach by Whispering Angel Rosé, is produced by Château d’Esclans. The founder is Sacha Lichine, but at the end of 2019, they sold 55% of the company’s stakes to LVMH.
Château d’Esclans is situated on elevated land near Gorges de Pennafort, northwest of the Mediterranean coast. This is where all the brand’s wines are created including the Whispering Angel, Château d’Esclans, Rock Angel, Garrus, Les Clans, and The Palm by Whispering Angel (now called The Beach).
The previous bottle of The Palm Whispering Angel Rosé also has a light pink color with palm trees on its design. And the Beach Rosé has the same designed bottle.
Pouring the wine, I notice the pale strawberry/salmon color.
The Palm Whispering Angel Rosé has clear and great aromatic freshness that can take you away with a few sniffs. I can smell watermelon, strawberry, and citrus from this wine.
At first sip, I can already tell that this wine is smooth and subtle. I can distinguish the citrus and delicious red fruit flavors in it. It’s packed full of strawberries, cherries, peaches, watermelon, and a hint of minerality.
This wine has a dry and crisp finish. It has a balanced acidity and a hint of citrus at the end.
Just a solid entry-level Provence Rose at a very good price.
Again this is the 3rd top selling Provence Rose in the US. Therefore you will be able to find this wine at any and all wine stores. Including Trader Joe’s, Total Wine, Safeway, Bevmo, and many other wine retailers.
The price of the wine should be just around ~$15.
Yes! The Beach by Whispering Angel Rosé is the rebranding of The Palm Whispering Angel Rosé or an updated version. However, it still has the same refreshing taste you’ll find in the Whispering Angel Rosés.
The Palm is the entry-level rosé of the Whispering Angel. It has great aromatic and red fruit flavors that are more subtle on the palate.
The Palm Rosé Whispering Angel is dry, light-bodied, and has good acidity.
