Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc - WineO Mark Review

picton bay sauvignon blanc at trader joes

Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that is produced in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. You can find this wine at Trader Joe’s and this wine has been a solid choice of ours for a while now, and here are our thoughts about it.

Currently sold at around $8 at TJs, so its just never a bad choice at that price.

Where is it Produced?

Marlborough, located in the north-eastern part of New Zealand’s South Island, has become known as a producer of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

The Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc is another fantastic example at an excellent price. It comes from a winery with family ownership and operation.

Our Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc Review

Look

The Picton Bay Sauvignon Blanc bottle is a very clean and simple label with a classic NZ Sauvignon Blanc screw top. It has a very pale white and yellow color.

Aromas

I get a very fragrant aromas on the nose showing passionfruit, grass, tropical fruits, jasmine and lemon zest.

Taste

The palate delivers vibrant acidity with excellent fruit intensity of green apple, citrus, pineapple, and melon.

Finish

It’s just a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with juicy fruit and some herbaceous notes with a hint of grapefruit at the end.

Where to Buy?

You can purchase this wine from numerous retailers, but I found Trader Joe’s had the best price.
