The Prisoner Wine Company, located in Napa Valley, is famous for its unique winemaking approach and dedication to bold, innovative blends.

As a big fan of this winery, I absolutely recommend their Saldo Zinfandel, Prisoner red blend (their flagship wine), and their Cabernet Sauvignon. And surprisingly, this Pinot Noir they created is also a fantastic wine. All their wines truly capture the essence of the region, and this one is no exception.

It’s got a vibrant, ruby-red color that sets the stage for the incredible depth and intensity of flavors it offers.

The aroma of this wine is incredibly intense, offering a rich bouquet of dark cherry, raspberry, plum, and oak. Underneath these dominant notes, there’s a subtle yet captivating sweetness of ripe fruits mingled with fresh mint, vanilla, and earthy notes that adds a layer of complexity and intrigue.

On the palate, its a medium bodied Pinot Noir with lively cherry and raspberry flavors burst forth, complemented by nice light acidity that brings a refreshing balance. Though the wine is powerful in taste, it never loses its refined and elegant character.
